Survivor title changing? /deaths changing - Guild Wars Forums

So since the update, my survivor died. when i typed in /deaths it now reads "You have died 1 time and have gained experience since death." Does that mean they're changing survivor to only meaning you gain 1,337,000 exp without dying and not since lvl1?

This already been pointed out. John Stumme just posted something to the wiki talk page for the update, simply stating "These are not the droids you're looking for. o__o".

What it means is that you can probably get survivor again in a future update. What he means with the droid comment is a Jedi trick from Star Wars: 'you figured it out but I want you to forget about it'

I would've been pissed if that happened today lol. Just finished up another one and died at 1337776 XP ^^ On intent ofc

I'm really looking forward to this -- I can finally get the title on both my two main chars. :-)

My Rit just made it to r1 but was killed by lv11 Snow Ettins in Deldrimor Bowl, just outside the portal between Griffon's Mouth and Deldrimor Bowl. I was "running" her from my other account and forgot those Snow Ettins spawn at that portal. From my other computer I noticed her health was going down so I turned back to my second computer to see the Ettins pounding her to a pulp. I quickly press F12+quit but was too late. :-( My poor Rit still feels the pain thinking about it.

If they are doing this, then I hope that those wearing LDoA are excluded from being able to also get survivor. After all, they deliberately died to achieve LDoA.

Edit: Just another thought too, if you death leveled a pet/companion, that character should also be excluded from possible survivor. Again, deliberate deaths.

Yeah, if these assumptions are true, they would have to make a check to ensure LDoA and Legendary Survivor were kept mutually exclusive. Otherwise, what would have been the point of banning people who got both with the GH glitch.

They will still be mutually exclusive if the idea is to gain loads of exp without dying in between, since you cannot death level enough charr to get a million exp off them in one area. You would have to rezone after the charr are killed, and die again to death level more of them. There's no way I can imagine getting over one million exp without dying in between in pre. So even if the mechanics do get changed in the way we expect them to change (as in getting an amount of exp between deaths) it's impossible.

It all depends on the mechanics, if you were to get 1 point towards the title per 100exp then of course you could get survivor in pre.

....or they could get LDoA, leave pre, and then get Survivor outside of it.

Thanks for the heads-up; I'd LOVE for this to be the case!

My main has been stranded on 28 max titles for a while now, and being able to get survivor (which he was too old to have a shot at originally) would be huge for me.

Ooh this is cool, Hopefully there will be update allowing get survivor after died, id rly want one on my necce :/

It would be great for us people who died with our first>Main toon, and want to get the title.

I got GWAMM with Drunkard already and still don't care, I just want Survivor title on my main!
